What We Do

We design buildings and homes on the Surf Coast & surrounds for efficiency, lifestyle, connection & resilience.

Whichever the service, whether it is a new home design, a renovation, an extension, retrofit or upgrade, our aim is to mitigate the impact of extreme conditions such as bushfires on our homes & community with planning, informed design & advice for ongoing maintenance.

We can help you design & build a resilient space that is productive & enduring…..not to mention increasing your home’s energy efficiency and savings with the same design approach, and that’s a win-win for all.

We understand your local climate trends and craft living spaces that provide optimal comfort year-round. Whether it's effective insulation against harsh winters, creating a sanctuary against fierce southerlies or natural cross-ventilation for scorching summers, your home becomes a harmonious extension of your lifestyle.

We can assist you with:

  • Designing your home to meet your values, site & budget.

  • Provide innovative & practical best practice solutions.

  • Town planning & building permit applications.

  • Provide contract documentation & detailed specifications for tenderers and building

  • Coordination of consultants (i.e. geotechnical reports, engineers, BAL assessment & bushfire management plans, energy-efficiency assessors).

  • Site meetings together with you and your builder

  • Pre-purchase assessment

  • Reducing risk through design

  • Retrofitting existing homes to reduce risk & improve efficiency

Whether it's effective insulation against harsh winters, sanctuary against fierce southerlies, or natural cross-ventilation during scorching summers, your home becomes a comfortable extension of your lifestyle.

Health

Your health and wellbeing is priority. Beyond the physical structure, we integrate such features as low-zero VOC paints, improved indoor air quality, ample natural light, and tailored design elements that enhance mental and physical wellness ensuring your home provides you with a holistic sense of thriving.

Connection

Beyond mitigating climate impact, our designs provide connection. Integrating green spaces, rainwater harvesting, and renewable energy sources, your home becomes an integral part of its surroundings, fostering a connection to the environment that enhances your daily life.

and that’s not all…

By choosing a climate-resilient home you are not only investing in your own well-being, you are providing an example to your community for ways we can all do something to improve community resilience by adopting even the smallest of design improvements to embrace change.

We understand that no two clients are alike, and neither are our designs and upgrade solutions. We work closely with you to understand your needs, preferences, and concerns, tailoring our climate-resilient solutions to align perfectly with your vision of an ideal home.

What do architectural services cost?

Because no two projects are alike, a fee proposal is tailored to each project depending on the scope of services required.

Project size, design complexity, budget, construction cost, project location, Town Planning requirements and level of services required (full or partial), are all considered.

Pre-design, schematic design, design development, contract documentation, contract administration as well as advice relating to feasibility and retrofits are all available. The level of involvement you require will determine the fee proposal & structure.

Whatever your budget, there is always the option to increase or reduce the level of services to suit and still benefit from the selected services provided.
